Live cam glossary

This glossary explains common live-cam terms in plain language. Provider wording can vary, so use these definitions as guidance and confirm exact rules on the selected provider.

Affiliate link

A marked commercial link. Camumi may earn a commission if you register or purchase after using it. Affiliate status should be disclosed near the link.

Allowlisted destination

A provider destination host that Camumi has approved for redirects. Public pages should not accept arbitrary destination URLs from visitors.

Cam site

A third-party adult live-cam platform that operates rooms, accounts, payments, moderation and support. Camumi is a finder and comparison publisher, not a cam site.

Credits or tokens

Platform units used to pay for private rooms, tips or other paid features. The cash value can depend on the package, promotion, country, tax and exchange rate.

Exclusive

A provider-defined session type that may indicate one-customer access. Do not assume exclusivity unless the provider clearly confirms who can enter.

Fresh listing

A listing whose latest provider feed observation is recent enough to be treated as currently useful. Camumi removes live eligibility when a listing becomes stale.

Group private

A paid room type that may allow multiple paying participants. It is different from one-to-one access.

HD

A provider-supplied video-quality label. It does not guarantee a fixed resolution, frame rate or quality on every device.

Language tag

A provider-supplied or self-described communication language. It is not proof of nationality, ethnicity, residence or native fluency.

Live

A provider feed recently reported the room as online or available. Live status can change between feed updates and your visit.

Opaque token

An internal Camumi redirect identifier. It lets the server look up a stored offer without exposing the provider destination URL in the public page.

Private-capable

A signal that a listing may offer a private session. It does not guarantee acceptance, exclusivity or a specific price.

Provider

The company or service that operates the room, account, payment flow and support system.

Public chat

A room state that may be visible to multiple viewers. It can still include paid actions or private-session options.

Sponsored

A commercial placement or link that should be clearly marked. Sponsored status must not override legal eligibility, freshness or selected filters.

Stale

Data that is too old to be treated as live. A stale listing should not be promoted as currently available.

VR

A virtual-reality or immersive-viewing label. Device support, browser requirements and private-room compatibility can vary by provider.
